A kurzus feladata a szakképzés céljának megvalósításában:
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the history and to the unique - supranational - institutional and legal system of the European Union. The course analyses the main political institutions, the separation of powers among them and between the EU institutions and the Member States. The course intends to convey a basic knowledge about the EU institutions, their composition, tasks and powers, and about the most important principles and rules that govern their operation. The module also examines the interplay of Union’s main bodies in its legislative process, and the primary and secondary sources of the Union law. The most important issues of implementation and enforcement of EU law, the role and tasks of Member States and of the Commission will also be discussed. The course will illustrate the unique role played by the EU Courts in the interpretation and development of EU law, through the explanation of the cornerstone decisions of the CJEU (e.g. on principles of direct effect and supremacy), furthermore, it will explain the most important procedures before the EU Courts. The course will establish a basic institutional and legal knowledge on which students can base their further studies on European integration issues and on various policies of the EU.

Assessment methods: Students are expected to prepare a presentation based on guided research at the end of the course. 

A kurzus feladata a szakképzés céljának megvalósításában:
The seminar will analyse and discuss the law of EU’s Area of Freedom, Security and Justice. It will pay attention to EU policy strategies, treaty law and the EU’s relevant secondary measures pertaining to justice and home affairs cooperation in the EU, focusing on the current legal framework as well as prevalent legal challenges. Relevant case law of the Court of Justice of the EU will also be taken into consideration.

The seminar will analyse the importance of the Council of Europe, the European Convection of Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights regarding the protection of human rights in Europe. The purpose of the course is to get familiar with the different steps of the ECtHR procedure and to examine those fundamental cases of the Strasbourg Court which are considered to have had a prominent role in the development of human rights protection in Europe.

This is a seminar therefore the students should do the reading before each class to be ready to discuss the relevant topic of each week. All students must choose a topic related to the course, and write one mid-term piece (by week 7) and a paper in lieu of final at the end of the semester. The mid-term paper is approx. 3-4 pages long (double-spaced with footnotes) and final paper should be 10-12 pages (double-spaced with footnotes). It is recommended that the two papers are dealing with the same human rights issue.

The aim of the course is to prepare students to explore human rights issues across legal systems, to engage in advanced critical thinking, and to refine their arguments in oral interactions and group work. The seminar is highly interactive and enables students to benefit from the international composition of the student body. In-class discussions allow insight into contemporary developments as they evolve, enabling critical engagement with these developments. Individual research skills are developed through problem-driven papers written by students who are encouraged to address practical human rights problems through comparative analysis using a theoretical framework informed by interdisciplinary insight.

It is a skill-based course for those wishing to pursue English-medium legal studies or prepare for working in an international environment. It provides practice and progression in the key academic skills including understanding and taking notes on lectures, participating effectively in seminars, giving presentations, developing arguments, understanding a wide range of specialist texts, producing coherent and well-structured assignments and also equips students with the specialist legal language they need for a legal career, be it negotiation between parties, a lawyer-client interview or legal correspondence.

The aim of the subject is to introduce the student to the field of international and European cooperation in criminal matters. By completing the course, law students can gain knowledge about the rules harmonizing the criminal law of the European Union, the institutions coordinating criminal cooperation and the forms of legal aid used in the practice. Completion of the subject will enable law students to understand the nexus of globalized crime.

The problem of traditional and online bullying (bullying and cyberbullying) has been a concern of researchers and teaching professionals for a long time. Many empirical studies prove that participation in school bullying (in any role) significantly increases the risk of developing short- and long-term mental and physical problems. Bullying at school can be distinguished from other forms of school violence based on two key characteristics, the imbalance of power and its repetitive nature. During the lessons, in addition to laying the theoretical foundations, the students are given the opportunity to elaborate on the topic with the help of case studies taken from practice.

A kurzus feladata a szakképzés céljának megvalósításában:
A hagyományos és online iskolai zaklatás (bullying és cyberbullying) problematikája régóta foglalkoztatja a kutatókat és a pedagógus szakembereket. Empirikus vizsgálatok sokasága bizonyítja, hogy az iskolai zaklatásban való részvétel (bármilyen szerepkörben) jelentősen növeli a rövid és hosszú távú mentális és fizikai problémák kialakulásának kockázatát. Az iskolai zaklatás az iskolai erőszak más formáitól két kulcsjellemző, az erőviszonyok kiegyensúlyozatlansága és az ismétlődő jelleg mentén különíthető el. Az órák folyamán az elméleti alapok lefektetésén túl a hallgatók lehetőséget kapnak a téma részletes feldolgozására a gyakorlatból vett esettanulmányok segítségével.

A kurzus feladata a szakképzés céljának megvalósításában:
A graduális és Erasmus hallgatók részére konkrét hazai és külföldi bűnügyeken keresztül a kriminalisztikai helyszínek és a forenzikus neszközök bemutatása. (Egyúttal a világnyelven való (tantárgyi) szakkommunikáció fejlesztése.)

For the student to show the criminal crime scenes and forensic (criminalistics) tools, through domestic and international real crimes.

Introduce the students to the English legal terms of criminal procedure, as well as to improve English communication skills regarding criminal matters through the provisions of the Hungarian Criminal Procedure Code.
