„FINTECH – DEFI – CRYPTO ASSETS ECONOMIC AND LEGAL OPPORTUNITIES AND RISKS” online conference

The University of Pécs, Faculty of Law, Department of Financial and Business Law and the Károli Gáspár University of the the Reformed Church in Hungary, Faculty of Law, Institute of Management, Department of Management and Organisation, invite you to an online conference.

„FINTECH – DEFI – CRYPTO ASSETS ECONOMIC AND LEGAL OPPORTUNITIES AND RISKS”
(4 November 2021 Online Microsoft 365 Teams)

We welcome representatives of the legal and economic professions, academics, researchers, economists, undergraduates, master and doctoral students. Our aim is to gain a better understanding of the challenges in this field of technological innovation.


Participation in the scientific discourse is open to presentations in at least one of the following areas

  1. Economic impact and legal regulation of Fintech
  2. DEFI (decentralised finance) as a disruptive financial system?
  3. The world of crypto-assets and legal regulation
  4. Economic opportunities and legal challenges of digital central bank money
  5. Economic and legal aspects of digitalization

To participate, please send the completed application form and a 500-2000 character-abstract in Hungarian or English of the planned presentation by 22 October 2021 at the latest to breszkovics.botond@ajk.pte.hu.

Applications will be evaluated by a professional committee and the invited speakers will be notified by e-mail on 28 October 2021.

The conference will be held in English and Hungarian. PowerPoint, Prezi can be used for presentations. The maximum duration of the presentations is 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of discussion.

In addition to the presentations, there will be an opportunity to submit papers to be published in a double-blind peer-reviewed conference proceedings with ISBN number. 
The deadline for submission of papers is 25 November 2021. For more information on the formal requirements for abstracts and papers, please refer to the documents attached to the invitation.
