Born on August, 24, 1979. Dr. Jelinic has completed his graduate studies at the J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek (dipl. iur. = Bachelor of Laws degree in 2002) and postgraduate studies on European Law at the University of Zagreb (Master of Laws degree in 2008). His doctoral degree he earned in 2010 at the University of Zagreb Law School (Doctor of Laws in 2010). During his career he has exercised more than several distinguishing scholarships; US Department of State Fellowship at the University of Iowa IC School of Law (2009), Jagiellonski University scholarship at the Krakow Law School (2006), Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency Fellowship at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights in Lund (2005) etc..

Dr. Jelinic is currently employed at the Law School of J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek where he lectures the law of civil procedure and related legal topics. He used to teach company law, commercial contracts and European law. So far Dr. Jelinic has had more than a few speaking and training engagements in Croatia and abroad. Occasionally he teaches commercial contracts at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management.  Till today, he had published more then twenty papers on different topics; Regulation of legal services market, access and efficiency of justice, consumer protections etc. He is a member of the Croatian Academy for Legal Sciences and US Alumni Community of Croatia.
