A kurzus feladata a szakképzés céljának megvalósításában:
A konzuli munka a diplomáciai tevékenység egyik klasszikus eleme, amely ötvözi a különböző közigazgatási feladatokat, ugyanakkor mindezek ellátása során a diplomácia eszköztárának használatára is szükség van. A konzuli tevékenység gyökerei az ókorba nyúlnak vissza, de a magyar konzuli szolgálat is több mint másfél évszázados múltra tekinthet vissza. A konzuli munka alapvetően jogi felkészültséget és gyakorlatot kíván, ezért az alapok – gyakorlatorientált – elsajátítása a jogászképzés keretében elengedhetetlenül szükséges.

Please find the details in the MS Teams group of the course. The group will be available in the first weeks of the semester.
A kurzus feladata a szakképzés céljának megvalósításában:
This course examines the role and significance of separate opinions and amicus curiae briefs in the practice of international tribunals, with particular attention to their impact on legal reasoning, institutional legitimacy, and the development of international law. Through critical analysis of jurisprudence from the International Court of Justice, international criminal tribunals, and other dispute settlement bodies, students will engage with questions of judicial authority, transparency, and the dialogic nature of international adjudication. Student will be able to pinpoint separate opinions and amicus curiae that actually shaped how international law is interpreted and applied. The course aims to provide students with advanced skills in evaluating the persuasive weight and doctrinal influence of judicial dissent or parallel reasoning and external interventions, while fostering a nuanced understanding of how these mechanisms contribute to the evolution of substantive international law. By situating these practices within broader debates on judicial independence, interpretive methodology, and the politics of international adjudication, the course equips students with the analytical tools and professional training necessary for practice before, and scholarship on, international courts and tribunals.

A kurzus feladata a szakképzés céljának megvalósításában:
A kurzusra elősorban azokat a hallgatókat várjuk, akik nyitottak a mindenkori tantárgyi tematikában rögzített fantasztikus világok iránt és ezeket legalább részben ismerik.
Az ismeretanyag elsajátítását Moodle felület segíti a kurzuson.

This field of law can be categorized after Craig Martin “loosely and collectively” the so-called “Laws of War”. The aim and purpose of this course to introduce students to how states interact with each other in times of armed conflict.
The course is recommended to ERASMUS students, and students from other faculties interested in armed conflicts and international law as well. Since the course is of an introductory nature, all necessary information will be available for students to understand even the in-depth discussions of the topic.
The course is supported by a Moodle platform.

Task: Using a complex scenario involving a multi-layer digital platform, students must analyze contractual and regulatory implications by integrating:
• electronic contract formation
• smart contract execution
• platform e-commerce structures
• digital service provider obligations and liability
• relevant EU law (E-Commerce Directive, Digital Content Directive, DSA, DMA,
• GDPR, AI Act)
• selected CJEU case law
The project is asynchronous. Students may submit a video, slides with voiceover, or an animated presentation.
A kurzus feladata a szakképzés céljának megvalósításában:
This course introduces students to the essential concepts, vocabulary, and analytical tools required to understand and draft business contracts in English within a digital and international legal environment. Particular attention is given to electronic contract formation, smart contract execution, platform-based commercial practices, and the liability of digital service providers within the framework of European Union law.
The class is designed as a virtual exchange within the EDUC Alliance, in collaboration between the University of Pécs (Hungary) and Université Paris Nanterre (France). Students will engage in both synchronous and asynchronous activities in mixed nationality groups. This intercultural dimension allows students to compare legal approaches, collaborate on practical case studies, and develop their professional English communication skills in a comparative law context. The course alternates between lecture sessions and guided small-group work, combining theoretical grounding with applied legal practice. Students will work on real-world cases involving digital platforms, automated contracts, and regulatory obligations under EU law (DSA, DMA, GDPR, E-Commerce Directive, Digital Content Directive, etc.). Participation, regular engagement, and active contribution to joint projects with other students based on the mixed nationality groups are essential components of the course.
The project aims to develop learning outcomes that strengthen students’ ability to analyze, draft, and evaluate business contracts in a digital and international context while enhancing their comparative legal reasoning and professional English communication skills. Students will gain a solid understanding of key legal concepts, EU regulatory frameworks, and relevant case law, and will learn to apply these tools through practical, collaborative tasks. Learning activities include weekly lectures introducing core themes, legal frameworks, and case law; mixed French–Hungarian group work conducted synchronously or asynchronously, where students complete applied exercises such as briefs, memos, mapping tasks, or short presentations; and continuous engagement activities such as online forum discussions and regular MCQ assessments to consolidate understanding. All collaboration takes place in English, with group sizes adapted to balance participation across institutions. Attendance and active contribution to discussions, assessments, and group deliverables are essential components leading to the final evaluation.
Learning outcomes:
1. Analyze and interpret key concepts, legal frameworks, and case law governing digital contracts, platform liability, and EU regulatory obligations.
2. Draft and evaluate business contract clauses—particularly electronic and smart contracts—using appropriate legal vocabulary and professional English.
3. Apply legal knowledge to practical, real-world scenarios through collaborative case studies, producing briefs, memos, mappings, or presentations.
4. Compare and contrast French and Hungarian/EU legal approaches, demonstrating intercultural and comparative law competencies within mixed-nationality teams.
5. Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, in a transnational virtual environment through lectures, group work, MCQs, and online forum discussions.
The course is supported by EDUC Moodle.
Upon completion of the course, participating students get credits and an EDUC certification.
